The third INNOVER-EAST training on EU-Eastern Partnership Cooperation in 'Energy' was held in Minsk on 29 February 2016. Its main goal was to improve knowledge and skills of EaP partners in participating in the EU's research and innovation programmes. Olga Meerovskaya, BelISA, partner in both the INNOVER-EAST and the IncoNet EaP projects presented analytical findings from the IncoNet EaP project, including a database of EaP programmes and projects, an analysis of its content related to Energy, as well as an analysis of EU-EaP co-publications in Energy.The INNOVER-EAST project, one of the R2I-projects’ family funded by the European Commission to fill in the gap between science and innovation in the Eastern Partnership countries, continues a series of training sessions aimed at improving the skills of its EaP partners in providing the innovation services. The trainings are implemented according to a 'train the trainer' scheme, in which the EU partners first train their EaP colleagues, while later the EaP project partners provide training for local communities in their countries.
The third INNOVER-EAST training was held in Minsk, Belarus on 29 February 2016. The main goal of the event was to improve knowledge and skills of EaP partners in participating in the EU research and innovation programmes. The local organisers – BelAPE, ENECA and BelISA – used this opportunity to invite the local energy researchers, companies, NGOs and policymakers. The training was provided by the project partners from SDEWES (Croatia), CERTH (Greece) and BelISA (Belarus) and several invited trainers.
With the aim to describe a potential of EaP countries in STI cooperation with EU in Energy, Olga Meerovskaya, BelISA, partner in both INNOVER-EAST and IncoNet EaP projects presented some results and analytical findings from the IncoNet EaP project, including:
She also provided an overview of the IncoNet EaP activities aimed at promoting the cooperation in this field at the level of research organisations and companies, as well at the policy level, namely travel grants, twinning grants, infodays and stakeholders conferences.
