IncoNet EaP Project participates in 2nd Meeting of the Eastern Partnership Panel on Research and Innovation

The IncoNet EaP project participated in the 2nd Meeting of the Eastern Partnership Panel on Research and Innovation on 21 May 2014 in Brussels. The meeting was opened by the Chair of the Panel, Ms Cristina Russo, Director International Cooperation, DG Research & Innovation, European Commission.
Τhe representatives from the EaP countries, the EU Member States and the European Commission discussed the research and innovation cooperation progress since the 1st meeting of the EaP Panel in November 2013. Their  emphasis was on the cooperation on e-infrastructures (EPIC status). CeRISS – the Scientific Coordinator of IncoNet EaP – used the panel to present the achievements of the project until now.

The EaP Panel also discussed the next steps to be taken in view of a Joint Strategy, marking thematic priorities and cross cutting issues jointly identified by the EaP countries and the EU. IncoNet EaP undertook to provide the panel with a realistic plan of thematic workshops on three societal challenges (Environment, Energy, and Health). The conclusions of these workshops will be presented at the following meetings of the EaP Panel on Research and Innovation.
